I recently received Andrew Loomis' book "Figure Drawing For All It's Worth" for my birthday and it's freaking amazing. My plan has been to read through it first, and then systematically work my way through it, doing studies as I go. You can buy it on Takealot
here.
One of the things Loomis suggests in the book is to buy an artists mannequin to help with poses. I bought quite a small one and his legs don't move so well at the hips, but it's a fun start, and I definitely would recommend buying one if you don't already have.
