Star Wars variant issue #001

For the launch of Star Wars 001, a number of blank variant copies were sent to a local comic shop here in Cape Town. I managed to get my grubby paws on one and came up with this chap.

Individually Strange Characters

It's been a while since I've posted anything up in here, so I thought I'd share with you some things I have been busy with these past couple of months. In no particular order, here are some illustrations.

Finally! Some personal work!

Its been a good couple of weeks since I have had a chance to do some personal work, in part due to the fact I have taken on some extra part time freelance work. I cannot say much about it, but I am busy doing illustration and after effects work on an animated short. 

The work-in-progress below is a little experiment I'm doing with an interesting colour palette. Hope it turns out okay.

Printh Charming

I haven't done an illustration like this before, and after finding out about the illustrator Chris Campbell, I decided I wanted to try something similar to his style. Meet the thuper thekthy printh charming accompanied by Mulch, his ever omnipotent sidekick.

November Spit Painting

Below are some "spit paints" that I have been doing over the past month. "Spit Painting" is a term given to an illustration that is executed very quickly. Some dubious sketchbook art

For the past couple of months or so I have really wanted to improve my female figure drawing. I decided that instead of taking the typical life drawing approach to representing the female form, I would rather fuse some landscape art into the drawings.

The last drawing here was done whilst I was at Club Mykonos near Langebaan.
