Studies from Andrew Loomis
I recently received Andrew Loomis' book "Figure Drawing For All It's Worth" for my birthday and it's freaking amazing. My plan has been to read through it first, and then systematically work my way through it, doing studies as I go. You can buy it on Takealot here.
One of the things Loomis suggests in the book is to buy an artists mannequin to help with poses. I bought quite a small one and his legs don't move so well at the hips, but it's a fun start, and I definitely would recommend buying one if you don't already have.

A fan art piece I did to coincide with the release of the latest Star Wars movie.

Creature of the Forest
"A soft clicking filled the void, then a long sigh. The sound that followed made us all stop. A soft hacking that grew steadily until it had reached a pitch that was almost deafening. We swung around. Our flashlights split the night air as we searched, panicked, for we knew what that sound meant. We knew, because they had warned us. We had been warned. And we had not listened.” - Matthew Winfield.
